LONE RANGER: Helena Bonham Carter x Johnny Depp
Two of my favorites reunited on screen again! Johnny's costume is ridiculously racist, but Helena Bonham Carter remains one of the most beautiful women I've ever laid eyes on. Her face is so delicate and she's FORTY-SIX! How?!

Work Out!
Your inspiration for tomorrow morning's work-out! Summer is almost HERE (kind of)! Living in a building is no excuse - do the stairs! That's what I've been doing in between essays. Just head to the nearest stairwell in your building, in the library, or wherever you might be, and run up and down the stairs in intervals. Do at least 100 sit-ups a day in 4 sets of 25 (EASY) and some squats and lunges. And calf raises while holding your dumbbells. Easy as shit to do while making dinner or doing readings, and with time it pays off! WERK.
Eh, Eason x Afterword, UofT
One of my good friends is a very talented artist, and today he was telling me about his upcoming show at UofT from April 19-21 2013. It's UofT's thesis exhibition and has a cash bar. I will be there taking advantage of said cash bar and waiting for Mr. Eason (my friend) to unveil his work. You can find these^ samples on his tumblr here, and more info about the show, called Afterword, here.
PS: Check out his bio!

L'élève
Last year I took a class called Psychoanalysis & Literature, and one of the texts we had to read was a short story written by Henry James called The Pupil. It quickly became one of the most brilliant things I have ever read and is easily in my top 5 favorites ever. I have been thinking how good a film about it would be but hadn't found one, TIL TODAY!!!!!! Found a French one directed by Olivier Schatzky. I can't find it anywhere but I haven't hunted it in the video stores I go to yet. This weekend they had Io sono l'amore which was a longshot, so I'm hoping they'll have this one!
These are the only screenshots I could find from it:

I am sort of obsessed with eccentric families/strangely brilliant children and movies about them. Wes Anderson is a master at this. Rushmore, Moonrise, Royal Tenenbaums. Noah with the Squid and the Whale is another of my favorites. They are very difficult to find but this is definitely one of them. It was first published in Longman's Magazine in 1891and you can find it here. But really, go and buy a copy. It's worth it.
I don't want to give away any secrets, but it's essentially about a young Oxford graduate named Pemberton who is hired by an American family living at a London hotel. The Moreen family comes off as an aristocratic, cosmopolitan family, a society family, moving frequently from London to Paris to Vienna and then Geneva. They have hired Pemberton as a live-in tutor to their young, brilliant and cynical child Morgan. Morgan is old in spirit and faint at heart. Pemberton and Morgan grow close as he tutors him, but over time Pemberton discovers that the Moreen family is not as they seem....
ANYWAY IT'S FANTASTIC AND I HOPE TO WATCH THE MOVIE SOON FOR NOW I'VE GOT TO RETURN TO MY ESSAY GOODBYE
